We're your
defense team.

At Nelson Defense Group, we understand that being charged with a crime is stressful. Fortunately, you’ve taken the best first step in contacting an attorney. You are not alone.

One of our attorneys will be reaching out to you very soon.

Nelson Defense Group

1. You're in good hands.

Many people who are charged with a crime are startled by the unfairness of the system. It is unfortunate, and we have no doubt that you may have already experienced some of this unfairness.

At Nelson Defense Group, we understand. That’s why we’re here.

One of the things our attorneys will discuss with you is the importance of hiring an attorney when facing charges. When the system is unfair, you need someone who is going to hear you, tell your story, and insist that the courts understand it too.

For many people, this is their first time in need of legal representation. We trust and understand that you are more than this moment. Our attorneys are ready to do everything we can to show your character and your contributions to the community.

Successful negotiations

We have had success in many cases without going to trial, whether it be through negotiations or full dismissals. We have won based on motions to suppress evidence and arguments that the alleged behavior is legally justified or not criminal.

Not guilty verdicts

We are also experienced trial attorneys ready to tell your story to a jury. We have won Not Guilty verdicts based on factual arguments like the behavior didn’t happen, the act did not occur, or the state’s story is wrong.

Reduced consequences

We have also successfully kept clients out of prison and reduced potential harsh sentences. We know how to show the courts our clients humanity and connect our clients with services and diversion programs to set them up for success both in and out of the courtroom.

4. Understanding our attorney's fees.

Flat fee basis

We operate on a flat fee basis. We charge a single fee for a case, rather than an hourly rate. This benefits our clients by capping the costs for all of our work, regardless of how long the case takes. Our fee is a reflection of the time, attention, and energy we plan on putting into your case. We charge the amount we do because we do more.

Limited cases

We only take a limited amount of cases because we want to make sure each client and their case get the time and attention they deserve. We are not a volume focused firm. We are people focused. We do everything we can to help the people who pay for our services achieve their goals.

High quality work

You’re hiring a team, not an attorney. We bring everyone’s experience and expertise to your case. Every case we’ve had helps us see patterns of the past and apply that knowledge to your case. Together, we have the wisdom to recognize what works and what doesn’t, the creativity to find dynamic solutions.
