Mac Blessen is a dedicated criminal defense attorney whose path to the courtroom began with a passion for advocacy and a commitment to telling his clients’ stories with clarity and conviction. At Nelson Defense Group, he brings both courtroom experience and a deep belief that every person deserves to be fully heard and vigorously defended. Mac represents clients across western Wisconsin, including Hudson, WI, defending individuals facing charges ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies — including OWI, DUI, and other drunk driving offenses.

  • Former public defender in Baraboo, Wisconsin, managing a high-volume caseload that included civil commitments, juvenile delinquency, misdemeanors, and felonies.

  • Interned with Federal Defender Services of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin State Public Defender during law school.
